What is FOTF you ask? The greatest event since the grand opening for Disney World!
But seriously, this event is pretty amazeballs (Thank you Giuliana Rancic). Fashions on the Field is a fashion competition that is open to the public. This is the first inaugural event in the United States. The event first became popular in Australia (started in the 1960’s) and has grown in other countries such as the UK, Ireland, and Dubai.
Fashion at the Races has teamed up with Keeneland to put on this fabulous day of fall fashion, fun, and of course racing! If you’re a race fan we have made sure that you don’t miss out on your races. The competition is taking place in the Sales Pavilion just next to the main grandstand gates and we will have racing on the televisions, wagering machines, and a full service bar for you thirsty peeps.
When you enter, you will have your own private area, called the Contestant’s lounge where you’re able to get your make-up done by the wonderful Sephora professionals! Enjoy some cocktails specially mixed for this Fashion Fabulous day! Look at the beautiful millinery of Lexington’s own Polly Singer and Jenny Pfanenstiel from Chicago. Â Check out what’s new at the Keeneland Gift Store, and at Monkee’s Boutique in Lexington. Take pictures on our red carpet with TOPS and much more!
The competition is free to enter…and the prizes are definitely worth entering for! Jewelry from Shelia Bayes, gift certificates to the amazing Keeneland Gift Shop, a night at the Galt House in Louisville, a Spring Meet Race Package from Keeneland, Breeder’s Cup tickets to Santa Anita 2012 and much more!! Sorry folks..but you’re a dummy not to walk that runway!
The winner will walk the rest of the day with a winner’s sash and a bouquet of roses! Pictures will be taken in the winner’s circle with jockeys and a toast of champagne!
The event really is a great day to look your best, socialize with your family and friends, and of course win some great prizes. We are looking to give you YET ANOTHER reason to attend the races but also attract someone who might not normally go. So it’s your job to enter…and then spread the word!
