ONLINE FASHION SITES

The New Year has begun, and soon as those champagne fuelled toasts were over it was on us and now we are already two weeks into it, can you even believe that! Before we know it, the season will change and our wardrobe will take a whole new turn and we’ll be forced, I’m sure against our will (very tongue in cheek) to head out and find the best bargains to help us keep up with the newest trends.

So, with that in mind, we decided here in the office to take a look at some of the fabulous online shopping experiences that can be had, and why they can help you keep up with the ‘In’ crowd but not have to dodge the landlord because you don’t have this months’ rent cheque!

RUE LA LA

RueLaLa

Rue La La is an invitation only online store where members can shop brand name sale boutiques, each open for a brief period of time. Membership is free but by invitation only. Whilst it’s not always completely cheap and within the most modest of budgets, if you’re looking for that something special like an accessory to really make an outfit pop or just an outfit itself at a massive saving (although it still could be half the months’ rent) there is some amazing deals to be had here!

MODCLOTH

Whoever says vintage-inspired garb can’t be modernized hasn’t taken a peep at Modcloth. The e-shop specializes in supplying adorable wares inspired by the looks of yesteryear, and the prices are anything but mind-boggling. You can snag pieces like dresses with a ’60s silhouette to kitschy tops adorned with animal motifs. So, skip the H.G.Wells time machine: Modcloth is really how you can get back in time to find vintage-inspired shopping.

And, like a fashion magazine, you’ll find trend-report-like boutiques on the site for pieces that have an editor-approved flair. With Shopbop loaded on your browser, your days of being closet clueless are over. And let’s face it, all of us no matter who we are sometimes just need to switch the mind off and have someone else do all the work!

Considered the ultimate online shopping destination, Net-a-Porter never fails to deliver. With a unique watch-as-they-buy feature that allows you to see items being shopped in real time and a wedding (Yes girls, a wedding section)section that offers anything and everything bridal, the website has also branched out to include beauty, recently adding model Miranda Kerr’s beauty line Kora Organics to its well-rounded beauty section.  This place is dangerous though, you can get lost for hours!

So ladies, take it from our office experts, just because you cannot actually get down to the store for that all important purchase or one of those once in a lifetime sales, you don’t by anymeans have to miss out.

It’s all right at the click of your mouse, and the detriment of your credit card! All you have to do is wait for the doorbell to ring!
